According to the Official Charts Company, American Music Award winning artist Adele has overtaken pop legend Michael Jackson for album sales in the UK. The now 23 year old singer’s album 21 has become the eighth highest selling album of all time at 4,020,000, beating out Michael Jackson’s Bad record at 3,959,000. Next on the list is Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon at 4,114,000. Adele has achieved these numbers within a year, along with multiple other honors such as winning 6 Grammys and, most recently, 2 Brit Awards.
