Bruce Springsteen’s album Wrecking Ball will debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart with 196,000 sales in its first week, according to the Nielsen SoundScan. The album is Springsteen’s tenth number one record, tying Elvis Presley for third most number one albums in history, after the Beatles at 19, and Jay-Z at 12 albums.

Wrecking Ball just barely edged out American Music Award winning artist Adele’s album 21, with the latter receiving 195,000 sales, down 21% from last week, after having spent 23 nonconsecutive weeks at number one on the charts thus far.
