After three rounds of voting by fans, VH1 announced that American Music Award winning artist Lady Gaga had beat out Madonna (51-49%), Britney Spears (51-49%), and finally Mariah Carey (56-44%) for the title of “Greatest Woman in Pop.” The pool also included Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, and J Lo.
