American Music Award winning artist Nicki Minaj is back on Twitter after her sudden departure on April 15th. Some sources speculated that Nicki was prompted to delete her account by a conflict with fan site NickiDaily.com, which had leaked tracks off her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded before the official release date.

However, Nicki recently clarified the situation to Capital FM: “I saw them tweeting away exclusive leaks off my album. … So I just unfollowed them. I didn’t say anything mean, I just unfollowed them. And then lo and behold, I saw they were rallying people against me and saying ‘She unfollowed us, how mean is she.’ … Well let’s set the record straight because a lot of times I don’t speak on things, but I don’t want people to think that’s why I deleted my Twitter, no. I just needed a moment to myself. … I mean I’ve read horrible things about myself, I wouldn’t delete my Twitter over that.” Click below to watch the interview now:

Although Nicki is back on Twitter, she still has a ways to go before reaching her former count of 11 million followers. However, Minaj is making good time, as she’s already regained almost 3 million followers in the span of a day.
