Daily Mail has reported that American Music Award winning artist Rihanna has been shortlisted to play Whitney Houston in an upcoming biopic of the singer. The film is being produced by Houston’s record label boss, Clive Davis. Other performers slated for the role are Dreamgirls’ Jennifer Hudson, actress Vivica Fox, and American Idol singer Jordin Sparks.

The film is being produced in the wake of Houston’s untimely death on February 11.
