The premiere of the 8th season of SYTYCD was nothing short of incredible.

The episode opened at the Atlanta auditions, where a remarkable amount of talent emerged. Dancers of all styles graced the stage, resulting in an unprecedented 10 straight-to-Vegas tickets in a row. Nigel called the Atlanta talent “obnoxiously incredible.”

The judges then moved to the Oakland auditions, where things took a bit of a different turn. After a strong start a string of somewhat bizarre candidates (including an ex-stripper) auditioned. Despite this, Oakland had its share of standout talent as well.
