Taylor Swift Debuts “Death Lullaby” Just in Time for Valentine’s Day

American Music Award winning artist Taylor Swift premiered her brand new music video for “Safe and Sound” yesterday. In the video, which Swift described as a “death lullaby” in a recent MTV interview, she co-stars with the Civil Wars in the lead single made for “The Hunger Games” soundtrack.

The video, which features Swift walking alone through a gray forest, takes its themes of death from the book by Suzanne Collins. In the book, a teenage girl is forced to battle several other adolescents to the death in a situation reminiscent of Battle Royale, as entertainment for the capital city of Panem.
