The DCP Beat, with Luke

The first thing I do is get my coffee. One cup. Two Sugars. No nonsense.
From there, I went to visit our friends in the distribution and editing offices. This is the magical area where we cut together our online content, and distribute it to different online vendors. To give you a better idea of the process, I spoke with one of our digital coordinators, Nancy. Packed in a small office and flanked on all sides by interns, Nancy is the queen of all she surveys. I ask her the following simple question:
ME: Nancy, can you please give my readers a general idea of what you guys do here?
NANCY: Well Luke…[Nancy proceeds to relay in excruciatingly specific detail the process of taking content, writing a description for it, uploading it to our Youtube channel, and delivering to online vendors to be syndicated]…and that’s about it!
After this riveting interview, I visited the editing bay where our talented and super-intelligent editors take raw footage and cut it into priceless nuggets of entertainment. James, one of our editors, was particularly excited about editing the Fashion Cam footage from the Red Carpet Live show:
ME: James, what makes you qualified to handle the Fashion Cam footage?
JAMES: Because I AM fashion, Luke. Fashion is dangerous, and I lurk in those waters all the time.
Super creepy. But to be fair, he does wear spectacular jackets.
