ROME
Rome is a daily half-hour program hosted by the nation’s preeminent voice of sports and smack, Jim Rome. Every Monday through Friday, Rome delivers a combination of breaking news, biting commentary, and hard hitting analysis on the most topical stories, subjects, and controversies in the world of sports. The opening Bullets offer Jim Rome’s trademark takes on the biggest stories of the day. The Newsmaker segment features in-depth one-on-one interviews with high profile athletes, coaches, and personalities. During Goin’ In, Rome debates the day’s topics with renowned sports writers in a round table style discussion. And finally, nothing is off limits in Rome Wants, Rome’s rapid fire breakdown of everything else from the world of sports and pop culture.
NFL Honors
The night before Super Bowl XLVII, the NFL will salute its best players and plays from the 2012 season with “NFL Honors,” a star-studded football and entertainment event. The two-hour primetime awards special from the Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans will air nationally on Feb. 2, from 9-11 p.m. (ET) on CBS. Alec Baldwin will return to host the show after serving in the same role in the inaugural show in Indianapolis. Seven of the awards being announced will be from the Associated Press, including the AP Most Valuable Player.
