Twitter-verse Rejoice!

Adele is now on Twitter! It seems that Adele has a new hobby while she continues to recover from undergoing throat surgery last month. The singer recently tweeted, “I’m in bed,watchin Gladiator,eatin an apple. Heres a pic of me&Queen B last wk in NYC.”

The incredible songstress has also garnered a very important distinction in her home country. Her album “21” has become the best-selling album of the century in Great Britain! It has stayed in the top 10 in Britain since its release in January.

According to the Official Charts Company (OCC), Adele’s album “21” passed sales exceeding 3.4 million copies, which surpassed Amy Winehouse’s 2006 “Back to Black” album which had 3.3 million. In the United States, 21 passed the four million mark in October.

The rise of the album, according to OCC, was due to Adele’s six Grammy nominations. She was forced to cancel several live performances and award shows because of surgery on her vocal cords.

And of course, Adele is nominated for Six Grammy’s this year!
