The 60th annual Miss Universe Pageant was certainly one to remember. The competition, broadcast from Brazil on NBC, featured 89 of the world’s most beautiful and talented women. And last night, Miss Angola shined brighter than the rest!

Leila Lopes came away with the Miss Universe 2011 crown, making her the first competitor from Angola to win the pageant. 25 year old Lopes has done much charity work in her native country, including the fight against HIV.
