Actor and comedy powerhouse Eddie Murphy has been confirmed as the next host of the Academy Awards!  Murphy is known for his work on Saturday Night Live, The Golden Child, Coming to America, Beverly Hills Cop, Trading Places, Nutty Professor, Shrek, Dr. Dolittle, Dream Girls, and of course…Norbit.

This will be Mr. Murphy’s first time hosting, but we are positive the show will be hilarious. The 84th Annual Academy Awards air February 26th on ABC.  Get the rest of the scoop here!
