On April 14th, after 500 voters determine who makes the cut, new members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will officially be inducted.

The hall’s ballot for 2012 prominently features women rockers as first-time nominees. Female rock icon Joan Jett of the Blackhearts and The Runaway’s is one 2012 nominee.

Other classic rockers up as first-time nominees include Guns ‘N Roses, The Small Faces/The Faces (Rod Stewart’s band) and glam goths The Cure.

Previous nominees back on the ballot run from Brit folk to beat-driven hip-hop and everything in between. Joining the list yet again are The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beastie Boys and Donovan.
